Event Rescheduled for Friday, February 19
Baltimore, MD – The Babe Ruth Museum today announced that they are again postponing the “Babe’s Birthday Bash” event until Friday, February 19 because of the weather.
“It’s unfortunate to have to now push the event back for a second consecutive week, but considering the snow that is blanketing our area it is the right decision,” stated the Museum’s Executive Director Mike Gibbons. “With the new storm only addiing to the tremendous snow received last weekend, our thoughts continue to center on the safety of our guests and we do not want anyone to put themselves at risk. We are hopefully that we can finally give Babe his overdue birthday party next week.”
The event to celebrate the 115th anniversary of Ruth’s birth in Baltimore will still be held at Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards and take place from 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Anyone who is now unable to attend the event on February 19 is encouraged to contact the Museum at 410.727.1539. Please visit www.BabeRuthMuseum.com for updates.
Additionally, the Museum has moved activities from the Babe Ruth Birthplace on Saturday, February 13 to Saturday, February 20. On that day, the Museum will show rare Babe Ruth movies at the Birthplace from 12 p.m. until closing in honor of Ruth’s birthday. Admission to the Birthplace will be only $3, in honor of Ruth’s playing number.
