“The Band That Wouldn’t Die" DVD promoted throughout Baltimore

John Ziemann, deputy director of Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards, was the inspiration for Academy Award-winning filmmaker Barry Levinson’s ESPN 30 on 30 documentary entitled “The Band That Wouldn’t Die.” When the Colts left Baltimore in the shadow of a snowy March night, much of its heart and soul remained behind in the form of the Colts Marching Band. For 13 years, while Baltimore grieved over the loss of its storied NFL franchise, the band played on thanks to Ziemann. He mortgaged his home, sold possessions and more to keep the band together. The group became well-known throughout the NFL, often playing at halftime for teams around the league. This documentary is now available on DVD for just $16 in the Sports Legends Museum Store.

To promote the DVD sale and unveiling of the expanded Marching Band exhibit, Ziemann appeared on “The Rob Long Show” on FOX 1370 AM in Baltimore on March 31. He also took time during the exhibit unveiling on March 29 to give Maroon PR a video tour of the updated gallery. Both the interview and video are available by clicking on the corresponding item below.
