Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards has teamed with The Baltimore Sun to celebrate Maryland’s Greatest Sports Moments. Starting April 5th, The Baltimore Sun will unveil two videos a day, Monday through Friday for two weeks, showcasing the top 20 moments in Maryland’s sports history.  The videos are available at www.Baltimoresun.com/legends and the campaign coincides with the fifth anniversary of Sports Legends Museum this May.

After much consideration, Sports Legends Museum and The Baltimore Sun combined to select 20 key moments from various sports and decades.  In addition to the videos that chronicle each moment, readers will enjoy photos, stories, artifacts & visuals from the Museum and reproductions of The Baltimore Sun's news pages for each event.  The videos are narrated by Sports Legends Museum’s Executive Director, Mike Gibbons.

“When we opened Sports Legends Museum in May of 2005, our mission was to chronicle and celebrate Maryland’s storied sports heritage,” stated Gibbons. “There have been a lot of great sports moments in our state’s history and it was challenging for us and The Sun to narrow it down to just 20.  But we believe we’ve chosen some great ones and think local sports fans will enjoy viewing the selections…and then hopefully experiencing them in person at Sports Legends.”

After all 20 moments are unveiled, fans can begin voting on April 19th for the top five moments in Maryland sports. Voting will run through April 23rd, at which point the top five choices as selected by fans will be announced.  As part of the interactive poll, one voter will win two (2) complimentary passes to Sports Legends Museum at Camden Yards' fifth-anniversary celebration on May 12th. Four other voters will receive pairs of passes to the Museum.
